Hello.....For those who don't know me I am John Papin, driver of the FAST # 50 Monte' Carlo and I race at Adirondack Speedway, New Bremen, NY.
I live outside Redwood, NY with my family;my wife Stephanie, and our 4 children; Tyler, Megan, Kristin and Joseph.
I am employeed now for several years as a Pipe Crew Foreman and Heavy Equipment Operator for Marcellus Construction Co.
located in Liverpool, NY.
After taking the racing season off last summer, except for a few races, I have decided to get back at it again this Spring.
Here is a not so brief re-cap of some of our Teams accomplishments and some information about me.
I have been racing since 1988, and have been blessed enough to always finish on the top. I started in a enduro race at EvansMills and decided right then and there that was not for me,,,So with the help of my Dad and a hand full of close friends we built a Street Stock sponsored by Log Mills Village Market, La Fargeville, NY and started race! I changed to the cleaner side of racing on asphalt in 1996 after being Track Champion 2 years in a row at Can Am Speedway, LaFargeville, NY.
Our Team took a very deep breath,purchased a Howe Chasis,and went racing!We had a Banner Year!No easy Feat as we raced against drivers from the whole Northeast and Canada in the the Hooters Series,we were priviledged enough to secure sponsorship from Squirt and Ruby Red Squirt, finishing with top honors again,always in the $$$ and points;we recieved Hooters Poll Award and won the car show!...Our very first year-I997 we changed our body style and colors, we were sponsored By Cadberry Beverages and I drove the very first Dr. Pepper Car ever! Our Team came out on top once again and we were HOT! Winning the first feature of the season with our new colors. John dedicated his win and car "In Memory of Dennis White", a co-worker and close friend killed on the job. We raced every chance we got,Oswego, Evans Mills, Malone, and Williamson. Excluding Malone, we set track records for speed at all three tracks. In 1998 we lost oor Dr. Pepper sponsorship to a Busch Team in the South, But we hung in there,after taking back our colors.....we recieved poll awards, finished every race in the top 5 and with NO mechanical failures, We set more speed records and Won the Coca-Cola 250!!!$5,000.00----What a year! In 1999 we slowed down our racing program, only racing the big races and we carried (Come See Me and The Boy's)on the hood in memory of Billy Guinn. Billy was a valuable sponsor on our #50 since the way early dirt days. In the year 2000, I got married, and started my family, bought a home and we Raced! We done very well always managing to bring home the cash! In 2001 we managed to always be up there and in the points running. In 2002 our Team took some time off and raced a very limited schedule. 2003 we came back with vengence to WIN! and that we did!! the rest is history and here we are going into another Season!
WE are currently the 2003,2005, 2006 and 2007 TRACK
CHAMPIONS at Adirondack International Speedway.....
2008......we are driving the # 27 for PRICE MOTORSPORTS and giving the # 50 a break this Summer....WISH us LUCK and COME see ME at the Track!!!
